Ed and the Wells of Salvation, Inc. Years...
Over the years, Ed often said he wanted to start his own church -- a dream he never realized. But God had another plan for him. In the mid-1970s, Ed hosted a successful radio ministry while pastoring a United Methodist church in Helena, Ohio. This experience in broadcasting ultimately inspired him to establish “Wells of Salvation, Inc.” in 1979 as an independent, non-profit ministry incorporated in Ohio.
God worked through Ed, Sparkie and the WOS ministries associates in many ways to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Here are some of them:

“Wells Of Salvation” radio broadcasts: 15-minute inspirational programs that were featured weekly on:
- WJYM 730 AM, Bowling Green OH
- WBLL 1390 AM, Bellefontaine OH
- Caribbean Beacon, shortwave, Anguilla, Caribbean islands
- DX Network, shortwave, Rochester NY, to 100+ countries

Missionary outreach:
- Responding to numerous requests from listeners to the Caribbean Beacon’s WOS broadcasts, Ed made numerous solo visits to the Caribbean Islands to conduct revivals -- in Trinidad, Jamaica and Grenada. Ed witnessed God restore sight to a blind man in response to prayer during a crusade in Trinidad!

Book ministry:
- Ed authored “The Gospel According To Mother Goose”, published in the late ‘60s by Beacon Hill Press, the Nazarene publishing house
- He wrote “More Gospel According To Mother Goose”, also published by Beacon Hill in the mid-‘70s, with 2 printings
- In addition to his many songs, he also self-published books of poetry, including “Midnight Moods”, “Christmas Dreaming”, “Patchwork Poems”, and “Brooks Of Honey And Butter”

Holy Land tours:
- 9 visits to Holy Lands -- several with Ed as group leader, teacher and/or facilitator
Concerts:
- Ed founded the “Wells Of Salvation Gospel Band” in 1982
- Ministered through hundreds of concerts until ill health sidelined him in 2003
- Several venues, including... festivals, fairs, jails and prisons, television, radio, nursing homes, church services and special events, pro-life rallies
- Wide variety of churches, including... Baptist, Nazarene, Wesleyan, Assembly of God, Church of God, Church of Christ in Christian Union, United Methodist, Catholic, non-denominational, Presbyterian, Missionary Church
Revivals, Pulpit Supply, Jail and Prison Ministries:
- Through WOSM, Ed developed a highly-effective network of ministry associates who have served the Lord faithfully in diverse ministries. Like Ed, some of these dedicated men and women have gone on to glory, but a core group of ministers continue their calling today. Please see the list of ordained ministers below

Radio and Music Ministry:
- The WOS radio ministry, “Cross Connection”, can be heard on WSWO FM 97.7 and 101.1 in Huber Heights, Ohio, each Sunday morning from 9:30-10:00 a.m.
- The Wells of Salvation Gospel Band actively ministers in testimony and song through concerts in a wide variety of forums
